One of the keys to a successful affiliate site is to give something away. In most cases this will be information.
This information maybe in the form of a product review which someone will search for and get your landing page for that product.
From your review page they will click on a tracker you have put on the page where they will in turn go to and purchase the product and you will earn commissions.
It will take time if you are using SEO over PPC but you will spend less money learning by setting up a content rich site than by testing PPC terms.
